This course explores the growing body of scientific evidence demonstrating the powerful effects of nature on emotional and physical well-being. From exposure to beneficial soil microbes, to inhaling the aromatics of plants and trees, to listening to birdsong, nature has measurable and meaningful impacts on our health.
We will review compelling research and discuss practical, coach-ready strategies to help clients reconnect with nature in ways that soothe, restore, and heal.

Beyond its health benefits, nature can also serve as a catalyst for inspiration and growth. Time outdoors can help clients access positive emotions that broaden perspective, spark creativity, and reveal untapped strengths and resources. Nature also offers a natural arena for challenge and adventure—experiences that build resilience, confidence, and personal expansion.

Together, we’ll explore how to help clients design growth-promoting outdoor experiences that align with their goals and values.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
-
Describe the scientific evidence supporting nature’s impact on physical and emotional well-being.
-
Share practical tools and resources that help clients engage with the healing aspects of the outdoors.
-
Explain how nature fosters inspiration, creativity, and expanded vision.
-
Guide clients in using nature-based experiences to access positive emotion and a sense of possibility.
